Kisaralik River

8 Days: August 7-15

Flowing out of the Aklun Mountains, the Kisaralik is 80 miles of true adventure fishing! Fly from Bethel by float plane to the Kisaralik Lake. This river flows quickly out of the lake (Class II-III) and makes for some fast paced rafting and great fishing around boulder gardens. The pace continues through a canyon for several days, and you eventually reach 2 exciting waterfall drops, which we line the boats through. After the second waterfall, the river slows its pace and starts to braid. We camp along the numerous gravel bars that line the river making for great camping with fishing right at camp. We’ve timed this trip for the silver salmon, but with 80 miles of fishing you will be sure to catch Rainbow tTout, Arctic Char, grayling as well! About 80 miles down river, the river significantly slows, and we conveniently arrange for a jet boat to pick us up and shuttle us down the mighty Kuskokwim RIver back to Bethel.
