If you like fishing remote rivers, with stunning scenery, changing landscape, and great fishing, then you will love the Kwethluk River it’s a river Paradise. All of the rivers Ouzel Expeditions floats are in true Alaskan wilderness. The Kwethluk is one of the wildest rivers in Alaska.
The Rainbow fishing on the Kwethluk is as good as anywhere in the state. It has lots and lots of Rainbows! The Silver fishing starts in late July and really heats up the first week of August! It continues through September.
The last week of July is an excellent week for Rainbows and all 5 species of Salmon are present. The king run is one of the best in the state.
After a nice float you will get picked up by jet boat and driven down the Kwethluk to the Kuskokwim River. This is a great way to see authentic native villages tourists rarely visit.
